Proprietary connectors
This page is dedicated to proprietary connectors, which should never have existed in the first place. If you are a manufacturer or designer and think about these things: STOP! Relax, don't do it. This is bad. Become open, use standards, release everything needed as open source - you will see that the community will hop on it and push your product.

Audio
- Apple iPod 30-pin
- Yamaha System Connector (Remote In/Out): control link between components
- Yamaha YDS / YBA ports: 8-pin mini-DIN port for old Yamaha iPod docks (YDS) and Bluetooth adapter (YBA)
- Sony DMPORT: Multipin connector (about the size of S-Video) used for optional Sony adapters (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, iPod docks)

- Sony Control-S / Control-A1 / S-Link: 3.5mm wired remote/control interface between Sony devices
- Onkyo / Integra: RI (Remote Interactive) = Wired control protocol via 3.5mm jack for synchronized commands
- Onkyo UP-A1 Dock Port: Dock connector for Onkyo iPod dock or Bluetooth adapter.
- Denon ASD Dock Port: Proprietary connector for Denon iPod docks (similar idea to Sony DMPort)
- Denon Link (HD): High-speed digital audio interconnect for jitter-free SACD/DVD-A/PCM audio
- Marantz D-BUS: Control cable link for power/input sync
- Bang & Olufsen Power Link Carries both line-level audio and DC control to active B&O speakers. Speaker Link is an older B&O audio/control cable.
- Bose Link: 8-pin DIN or RJ-45 style for linking speakers/zones
- Bose Acoustimass Multi-Pin Cable: Speaker/subwoofer connection with both signal and control
- Bose Lifestyle Expansion Port: For adding proprietary accessories (e.g. Zone 2)
