As MCU it uses PIC18F67J50, which is still available. I haven't checked if lock bits are set (but why wouldn't they?)
It has an EEPROM, an iR-LED and an iR-receiver.
Somehow I've lost the pictures of the PCB front - it only contains the common PCB buttons though.

The remote control of Vodafones GigaTV 4K Box is more complex - it has a bluetooth enabled Broadcom BCM20734UA1 SoC in BGA package.
